The shops at Newport's Long Wharf include Only in Rhode Island, which features products created in the state by local companies and artists.  Since the publication of Murder Stalks A Mansion, the store has been featuring this mystery written about Newport's famous mansions

Colony House sits at the top of Washington Square.  Until 1900 it was the principal seat of government, first for the Colony of Rhode Island, then for the State.  One of many historic 17th and 18th century buildings, such as the Quaker meeting house, the Wanton-Lyman Hazard House and the White Horse Tavern, it is a grand reminder of Newport's colonial past.
