Gilded Death is set in another of my fictional Newport mansions, Mon Plaisir, the summer home of the Revel family. In this book Caroline is a guest at a party where the murder victim literally falls dead at her feet. When Lt. Hank Nightingale arrives to investigate, Caroline has had a head start in determining the killer. Of course she teams up with Hank to solve the mystery, with some rather interesting twists and turns along the way, especially in their relationship.
