Murder Stalks a Mansion is a mystery brimming with personality.

There are multiple issues at hand: solving a murder, figuring out a family dynamic, and all while Caroline worries that her fledgling B&B-her effort not to lose her dead husband's family home - will suffer at the hands of the rumor mill.

The writing is clean and fluid, the characters well-defined and believable, and the scenes are well constructed.

Sutton has avoided stereotypes, which could have been an easy trap to fall into, given the somewhat cliched nature of the rich power broker that everyone wants to see dead, and has written a satisfying mystery.

"Fabulous new series set in Newport, RI"

I love the Newport setting. We stopped in Newport for lunch on our way through New England...Kenwood Court sounds like a terrific type place to stay.

This book is so rich with information about the area [Newport, Rhode Island] and the mansions. I loved all the descriptions. You can tell the author knows the area well. It made me want to return even more!

I like Caroline and the relationship she has with her mother-in-law. I am hoping for a romantic interest to blossom in this series.

This is the first in what I hope to be a long-running series! I highly recommend this book.
